What are the consequences if I am partially to blame for my injuries caused by another person?

If you’re involved in an accident and you are partially at fault, that does not bar your claim. Florida is a comparative fault state, and basically that means that the damages would be shared on a comparative basis. So for example, if there’s an intersection accident, and a jury were to determine you were 25% at fault and the value of your case was $100,000. That jury award would then be reduced to $75,000, or 25%. It would be reduced based on your pro-rata sure of fault.
