Mary Ann Morgan was honored by the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL) with the Carol E. Donahue Legacy Award. This award is presented to a member who has been practicing law for over 16 years and has demonstrated integrity, leadership, and a lasting positive influence on the legal community. The recognition highlights Mary Ann’s decades-long dedication to mentoring, service, and excellence in the legal profession.

The Carol E. Donahue Legacy Award recognizes a member who has contributed significantly to building community, mentoring younger members, and furthering the CFAWL mission. Honorees exemplify ideals that raise the standard of excellence for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who came together to make the Table for 80 a truly unforgettable evening. Whether you joined us this year, hosted in the past, or attended along the way, you are the reason this tradition has endured over two remarkable decades and continues to thrive. Thank you for being part of our ‘Tapestry’!

What began as a simple idea between myself and N. Diane Holmes has grown into something much greater, thanks to the energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering support of this incredible community. The Table for 80 held on May 7, 2025, marking the twentieth anniversary of the program, was more than just a dinner, it was a space for connection, storytelling, laughter, and legacy.

Seeing CFAWL legacy members reunite, welcoming new faces, and watching generations of CFAWL women come together to celebrate our past and look toward the future reminded us why this program matters. It was an evening filled with warmth, cherished memories, and a shared sense of purpose.

Thank you for helping keep this tradition alive. Here’s to continuing the spirit of Table for 8 for the next 20 years and beyond.

Each year the Orange County Bar Association bestows its highest honors on a select few members of the legal community whose demeanor and lifelong work exemplify the model of accomplishment which stands on integrity and unparalleled professionalism. As the OCBA’s highest honor, the recipients of the William Trickel, Jr. Professionalism Award share several traits. They all are nominated by their peers based on the attorney’s commitment to service both service to the community and to the profession, unwavering ethical conduct, courteous behavior, high moral standards, and professional behavior, and have practiced law for 15 or more years. Mary Ann Morgan displays all these traits and is honored to be selected by her peers for 2023.

Mary Ann also congratulates her fellow award recipient Judge Roy (Skip) Dalton who is the winner of the James G. Glazebrook Memorial Bar Service Award and Annie Kwong, winner of the Lawrence Matthews Young Lawyer Professionalism Award.

I am humbled and honored to have been named among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers for the U.S.  There are 50 lawyers from the state of Florida.  I would like to congratulate the lawyers from Central Florida who were also named:  Elizabeth Faiella, John Morgan, Frank Melton and Rich Newsome from the Orlando area and Bill Wagner, Steven Yerrid, Ralph Gonzalez and David Dickey from Tampa. The honor is affirmation that we are all making a difference and I will continue to fight alongside this group of civil justice champions. Thank you all for fighting the good fight!

NADC is an organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of legal excellence.
